Why should u read Old NCERT and How to Prepare for Exam?

The curiosity of most aspirants preparing for the Civil Services Exam is that how to start preparation for this examination. It is suggested by IAS PRABANDHAN that u have to start preparing for this exam with the old NCERT books. You will have a question about why the old NCERT? When u will compare the old NCERT with the new NCERT, you will understand these things yourself. In brief, I want to tell u that the topics in the old NCERT have been explained in detail and after reading them you generally do not need any other book. In addition, u can read one or two books of the new NCERT which include Economy and Science books.
Along with the old NCERT, you should also look at the preliminary Examination Previous Year Questions. Keep this in mind that u have no need to solve them. Read the NCERT books at least 4-5 times. After reading these books 4-5 times, start looking for the Main Examination Previous Year Questions. Believe that if you have read NCERT very carefully then your basic questions will be solved.

क्यों पढ़ें Old NCERT और तैयारी कैसे करें?
दोस्तों,
सिविल सेवा परीक्षा की तैयारी करने वाले अधिकांश अभ्यर्थियों की जिज्ञासा यह होती है कि इस परीक्षा की शुरुआत कैसे की जाए| आईएएस प्रबंधन आपको यह सलाह देती है कि आप इस परीक्षा की तैयारी की शुरुआत पुरानी NCERT की किताबों से करें| आपके मन में यह सवाल होगा कि आखिर पुरानी NCERT ही क्यों?…आप जब पुरानी NCERT की तुलना नई NCERT से करेंगे तो आपको अपने आप ये बातें समझ में आ जाएंगी| संक्षेप में मैं आपको बताना चाहता हूँ कि पुरानी NCERT में विषयों को विस्तार से समझाया गया है जिसे पढने के बाद आपको सामान्यतः किसी अन्य किताब की आवश्यकता नहीं रह जाती है| इसके अलावा, आप एक-दो पुस्तकें नई NCERT की पढ़ सकते हैं जिनमें 11-12 अर्थव्यवस्था और विज्ञान की पुस्तक शामिल हैं|
Old NCERT के साथ-साथ आप प्रारंभिक परीक्षा Previous Year Questions को भी देखतें जाएं| इन्हें हल नहीं करना है इस बात का ध्यान रखें| NCERT की किताबों को आप 4-5 बार कम से कम पढ़ें| इन किताबों को 4-5 बार अच्छे से पढ़ने के बाद मुख्य परीक्षा Previous Year Questions को देखना शुरू करें| अब पुनः NCERT उठाएं और प्रारंभिक परीक्षा और मुख्य परीक्षा के प्रश्नों को हल करने का प्रयास करें| विश्वास करें कि यदि आपने NCERT बहुत ध्यान से पढ़ी है तो आपके आधारभूत प्रश्न हल हो जाएंगे|
